Either way, great job by the Pelf Man tonight; he passed the test. Just what we needed heading into Philadelphia.
And Carlos Delgado... what more can you say? Mets brass is going to have a really tough decision to make this offseason; do you try to go big and get Teixeira, or do you save your bullets for pitching help (starting and relief) and stick with Delgado?
But that's a question, hopefully, for November. For now, well, August continues full throttle tomorrow.

Hell yeah, fuck you David Newhan.
If I'm not wrong, this blog praised him early last year. And then he goes and, blah...
I'd love to keep hating him, but something tells me we might not hear from him again anytime soon. Or ever.
Unless you need to change your muffler somewhere in...I dunno, where's he from?
Been thinking about this one, Open Bar. I can't remember David Newhan ever getting praised on this web site. Could be wrong but would love to see what you're referring to.
