The Way It Is

This game's not over yet, we're down 7-4 in the 7th as I write this. But that said, here's the point. You can't expect to win a meaningful ballgame when your players forget how many outs there are, or when your pitcher beans in two runners.

What I mean is, you can't piss games away. And that's what we've done.

And that's the way it is.

I think that's the hard thing about this whole ridiculous collapse. That these aren't normal losses. They're blowing five-run leads, they're getting three-hit by AL scrap heap pitchers, they're 6 errors in a game, they're forcing in two guys with hit batsmen, etc.

Oh well. Go Cal and Rutgers today. I'll need something to watch in October.
