And now its reported that Torre will be fired. Perhaps the curse has taken another casualty...
George Vecsey in the NY Times pointed out that the Yankees haven't won the AL pennant since Zimmer left--so is this the Curse of Zim?
Zimmer got slammed to the ground on-field, in Yankees uniform, by a 5-foot-8 dandy who talks to his plants. Curses have been conjured out of less.
